Role Overview

What is the Role?


Data Architect will join the implementation team at Gerent who shares our vision of bringing the power of cloud computing to enterprises. The Data Architect is a key member of our Delivery organization in the US. In addition to being responsible for developing high performing solutions on the Salesforce platform, the Data Architect will provide insight in advanced business analysis, conduct needs assessments, configure apps, as required, and also assist in key functions involving client and staff development, training and on-going client support They work closely with various technical and non-technical team members, managing and running more complex, enterprise and strategic technical projects. The Data Architect partners with the solution architect and business analysts or architects, to ensure proposed or built data solutions will drive the desired business outcomes.  


They are a senior resource, taking ownership of understanding how Salesforce products can be leveraged to meet desired business outcomes. They have a deep curiosity and can explore the “why” behind how our customers work. They possess strong business analysis skills, take an empathetic approach to requirements gathering and facilitate customer workshops. 


The Data Architect will have the opportunity to grow into a Sr. Data Architect and has a range of influence on the products, methods and tools for the implementation.  Gerent pays for all the examination vouchers for any Salesforce certifications and ensures you have the time to prepare and pass the certification exams.


Responsibilities: 


  • Support build of complex multi-disciplined CRM consulting projects. 

  • Review requirements and solution to confirm technical details are sufficient for developing the data migration plan

  • Work with senior members of the team to analyze data migration requirements, translating those requirements into a data migration approach for the Salesforce platform.

  • Develop and implement data governance strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to uphold data security and privacy.

  • Design and oversee data quality initiatives to maintain accurate, reliable, and consistent data across systems. Implement data cleansing, validation, and enrichment processes.

  • Architect data integration strategies, including API management, to enable seamless data flow between disparate systems and applications. Evaluate and select appropriate integration tools and platforms.

  • Develop and implement data security protocols, encryption methods, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data assets against cyber threats and ensure business continuity.

  • Work with senior members of the team to develop and execute a data migration plan to include, extraction co-ordination from a source system, conversions and transformations as necessary, import execution and data validation.

  • Lead development work streams, from design through testing and deployment, often working with junior members of the team both offshore and onshore

  • With project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources, and set a realistic schedule for development.

  • Maintain effective client relations and rapport - delivering timely and relevant information with the ability to quickly identify and report project risks.

  • Post-delivery - assists client teams in supporting the live application and perform handoff and knowledge transfer activities, positioning our clients for long term success.

  • Implement security solutions that adhere to license restrictions and apply appropriate configuration options that meet customers requirements

  • Contribute to deployment and maintenance of deployment tracker

  • Identify testing strategies leveraging manual and automated testing approaches

  • Demonstrate solution functionality to business stakeholders as needed

  • Lead knowledge sharing sessions with the client and provide the user documentation required for supporting the system in the future

  • Provide technical and functional expertise to project teams

  • Lead or contribute to internal COE efforts

  • Keep abreast of platform advancements in declarative options with Salesforce releases

  • Identify opportunities to leverage the Salesforce platform and various integration tools. 

  • Review and understand solution concepts, supporting solution architects in presentation

  • Support end-to-end cross-discipline leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Accountable for on-time, high quality software project deliveries, including Analysis, Design, Development and Quality Assurance. 

  • Exercise solid project leadership skills combined with strong technical acumen and in-depth analytic skills. 

  • Identify project risk with scope creep and offer solutions to customers centered on impact to the business process. 

  • Assist with the planning, tracking, documentation and status updates for the project. 

  • Adopt a standardized implementation lifecycle methodology for all projects. 

  • Superb writing, communication and presentation skills 

  • Ability to work well with customers, internal technology and product teams to articulate issues and communicate effectively 

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and solve problems proactively 

  • Experience working in small collaborative teams 

  • Experience with technical issues and ability to work constructively with engineering teams 

  • Experience leading, managing and coordinating teams & efforts 

  • Acquire 6 SF certifications and complete Gerent learning program for Data Cloud (pre-existing preferred), Einstein Analytics and Discovery Consultant (pre-existing preferred), Business Analysis, Consultants and Architects


Qualifications: 


  • A minimum of 6 years' experience within the salesforce domain.

  • A minimum of 4-year exposure to data mapping of target systems to and from Salesforce

  • A minimum of 4-year exposure to REST API's and API's.

  • A minimum of 1-2 Year exposure to leading/mentoring junior developers

  • SQL data analysis skills

  • Experience in Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud. Data Cloud and Einstein related tools are a plus.

  • Experience with programming languages, Apex, Lighting Web Components.

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and be creative within a team.

  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS) and Salesforce.com, either through work at industry participants or consulting to the industry.

  • Salesforce.com sharing and visibility designer certification preferred.

  • 5+ years of external consulting experience, including 3+ years of CRM consulting; and hands-on experience with one or more CRM software products such as Salesforce, Siebel, Oracle, Clarify, Vantive, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, etc. 

  • Experience implementing Small, Medium and Enterprise scale Salesforce solutions 

  • Experience delivering waterfall, agile and hybrid projects 

  • Experience with data modeling

  • Experience with communicating with large customer groups (5-30)

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing project deliverables. 

  • Demonstrated history of delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget 

  • Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written 

  • Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce solutions and estimates 

  • Ability to mentoring team of junior team members and effectively supporting client escalations 

  • Manage and communicate with remote developers during non-traditional business hours 

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment 

  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure 

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels 

  • Multiple Salesforce.com Certifications (Admin, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, App Builder, Platform developer 1, etc.)

  • Strategy - Must be able to lay out a strategy or roadmap for clients onboarding or amidst a digital transformation anchored in Financial Services use cases
